Student Recognition

Student Recognition

The staff of Cold Lake Junior High School believes that every child is worthy of praise and that every child has a special gift worth noting.  The CLJHS recognition program recognizes and honors the achievements of our students in academics, athletics, fine arts and leadership within CLJHS school community.

CLASSROOM RECOGNITION Grades 7-9

Classroom awards are given out at the end of the year by homeroom teachers to each student to showcase their positive attributes.  There is a key notion of unconditional recognition of all students.  All students possess strengths and are encouraged to reach their potential.  Staff at CLJHS aid with student growth, encourage ongoing development, one based on effort, seeking challenges, taking risks, seeing failure as part of the learning process.  We also believe there needs to be recognition of achievement and excellence in all aspects of school life.
