The CLMS Band program is offered to students in grades 5-8 as an option class. In Band, students learn how to play several scales, warm-up songs and pieces on an instrument throughout the year. They have the opportunity to perform at assemblies, concerts and music festivals including Cold Lake Music Festival and Alberta Festival of Bands in Red Deer. Students get to expand their musical knowledge on a specific instrument while having fun. Students need to be dedicated to practicing their instrument and committed to helping the band reach its potential.

The CLMS Choir is offered to students in grades 4-8 as an extracurricular activity. Practices are scheduled during lunch recesses. Students are exposed to different types of music including pop, classical, musical theatre and folksongs. Members of the choir are given the opportunity to perform at assemblies, concerts, community events, and music festivals. This group of students must be dedicated to attending practices and learning a variety of songs. The CLMS Choir allows students who enjoy singing to share their passion with others.
